TimeProof Whitepaper
High-level thesis. Clear boundaries.
TimeProof exists to make digital proof usable in the real world. This whitepaper summarizes the live product foundation, the architecture boundaries, and the guarded roadmap without disclosing sensitive implementation detail.
V1 Foundation
TimeProof V1 is centered on timestamping, public verification, Legal-Grade evidence, organizations, and the Credits 2.0 billing model.
Proof Before Expansion
The platform expands only after the proof foundation is stable. COP, provenance, and broader enforcement concepts build on the same live record layer rather than replacing it.
High-Level Transparency
This whitepaper explains the product thesis, architecture boundaries, and rollout model without exposing sensitive implementation details or company secrets.
Product thesis
Digital evidence is now created, shared, duplicated, remixed, and disputed at machine speed. TimeProof addresses that problem by starting with a simple claim: before rights, licensing, or authenticity can be reasoned about, the existence of a file at a specific time must be made durable and independently verifiable.
The live product therefore begins with client-side hashing, blockchain anchoring, public verification, and Legal-Grade evidence outputs. Those capabilities are useful on their own, and they also create the stable foundation required for future ownership and provenance layers.
What is live in V1
- Scheduled and instant timestamps under the unified Credits 2.0 model.
- Legal-Grade evidence packages with JWS identity attestation.
- Public verification, third-party certificate retrieval, and organization-aware account contexts.
- Stripe-based packs and plans instead of customer-facing crypto payments.
What stays outside V1
- Customers do not pay with crypto. Billing is Stripe-based under Credits 2.0.
- Wallets are identity and sign-in primitives, not the customer payment mechanism.
- COP is future-phase and must not be confused with live V1 timestamping.
- Future authenticity and provenance systems remain post-V1 roadmap work until explicitly shipped.
Public web model
TimeProof now uses a three-surface public web model under one domain family. The company site lives at timeprooflabs.com, the SEO and education funnel lives at learn.timeprooflabs.com, and the product app lives at app.timeprooflabs.com.
That split is intentional. The company site holds the narrative, roadmap, and technical overview. The learn site handles acquisition, pricing, FAQ, legal, and browser tools. The app remains focused on timestamping and account workflows.
See the live product and the learn surface.
Use the app for live timestamping. Use the learn site for pricing, FAQ, legal pages, and the browser hasher. Use this company site for roadmap and high-level technical framing.
