Packs and Plan Verification
The Current Onboarding Model
TimeProof now uses a single unified credit balance under Credits 2.0. You can start in one of two ways:
- Buy a one-time pack and use scheduled timestamps immediately.
- Start a monthly plan, complete identity verification, and unlock instant timestamps plus Legal-Grade.
There is no separate onboarding bundle anymore. Packs and plans are the only current entry paths.
One-Time Packs
One-time packs work well when you need prepaid scheduled timestamps without a recurring bill.

Pack credits do not expire. Unverified users can spend them on scheduled timestamps at 1 credit per file.
Monthly Plans
Monthly plans are the verified path. Every plan includes identity verification and access to the verified feature set.

Plan credits refresh each billing cycle. Unused included credits do not roll over, but any pack credits on the account remain available.
What Verification Unlocks
Identity verification is included with every monthly plan and unlocks the verified feature tier:
- Instant timestamps at 2 credits per file
- Legal-Grade upgrades on timestamp batches
- Verified identity badge on instant timestamp certificates
- Organization creation and shared credit workflows
If you only buy packs and stay unverified, you can continue using scheduled timestamps at 1 credit per file.
Choosing the Right Path
Choose packs if:
- You want scheduled timestamps only
- You prefer prepaid credits with no recurring billing
- Your usage is occasional or project-based
Choose a plan if:
- You need identity verification
- You need instant timestamps with near-immediate anchoring
- You need Legal-Grade courtroom-ready evidence packages
- You want recurring volume plus configurable overage controls
How Verification Works on a Plan
- Start a monthly plan in the billing area.
- Complete Stripe Identity with a government-issued ID and liveness check.
- Once verified, your account can use instant timestamps and Legal-Grade.
- Third parties can later validate the related JWS attestation through
/.well-known/jwks.json.
Verification is tied to the active plan-based verified experience, not to a special legacy pack.

Business reduces Legal-Grade to 25 credits for up to 25 files, then +1 credit per file after 25. Enterprise includes it at no extra credit cost.
