Credit System: Unified Credits Reference

The Core Model

TimeProof uses one unified credit balance across the product. The credit is the unit of account, and the server-side operation cost determines how many credits are consumed for each action.

Operation Costs

OperationCostNotes
Scheduled timestamp1 credit per fileAvailable to any account
Instant timestamp2 credits per fileVerified monthly plans only
Legal-Grade upgradeStarter/Pro: 50 up to 25 files, then +2/file; Business: 25 up to 25 files, then +1/file; Enterprise: includedVerified monthly plans only

Enterprise includes Legal-Grade without additional credit consumption.

Identity verification is included with every monthly plan. It is not sold as a separate legacy pack or standalone credit type.

How Credits Are Consumed

Scheduled example

If you timestamp 25 files in scheduled mode, the total cost is 25 credits.

Instant example

If you timestamp 10 files in instant mode, the total cost is 20 credits.

If a verified Starter or Pro subscriber timestamps 25 files and adds Legal-Grade, the total cost is:

  • 25 credits for scheduled timestamps, plus
  • 50 credits for the Legal-Grade batch upgrade

Total: 75 credits for the batch.

That same batch costs 50 credits total on Business for the upgrade portion, and Enterprise does not spend extra credits on the Legal-Grade layer.

Balances and Refresh Behavior

  • One-time pack credits do not expire.
  • Monthly plan credits refresh on the billing date.
  • Pack credits can sit on the same account and be used alongside plan credits.
  • Organizations maintain a separate shared balance from the user’s personal balance.

Practical Rule of Thumb

  • Use packs if you only need scheduled timestamps.
  • Use a plan if you need verification, instant timestamps, or Legal-Grade.
  • Add pack credits later if you need a larger prepaid balance.
